Two-thirds of women 40-59 years old are overweight and more than 1/2 are obese. Intermittent fasting can help women lose weight effectively. And can have profound impact on bio-physical profiles, but also improved self esteem and interpersonal relationships. It is easy to implement, it is inexpensive and flexible.

She is ABSOLUTELY right! I lost 60lbs skipping "the most important meal of the day." I tried the 16:8. The first 30lbs was lost with no exercise or diet change, the last 30lbs were lost with diet change and exercise. It was hands down one of the best changes I have ever made in my life.

I gained so much weight with my pregnancies and was really struggling postpartum. I started intermittent fasting in November 2020, not eating until noon or after 8pm, and by March I was down 40lbs. I started working out a few days a week with weightlifting, but I had to give that up when I returned to the office regularly. I now IF 5-6 days a week, giving myself some grace on the weekends to have breakfast with my family. It wasn't a diet, it wasn't restrictive, and it worked. I wasn't overly strict with what I ate during my eating window. If I wanted pizza, I had pizza. If I wanted a cookie, I had a cookie. I found my appetite shrunk and it took a lot less to make me full. Before, I would practically binge eat and not be able to stop. Now moderation is easy and I don't feel like I am restricting myself or starving. It has changed my life!

Me and my wife are intermittent fasting, we just started though, we only eat between 4pm-8pm, and it's low carb, low sugar, keto but not really keto, it's only been 15 days but we are sticking to it and staying strong. Good luck to all who are trying to do the right thing for their bodies.

I fast for 20 hours a day and eat for 4. Except for the hunger I find that I generally feel way better. The biggest benefit I have noticed though is the lack of laziness. I find myself completing projects I normally put off and actively looking for things to do in my downtime. It also helps control my blood sugar so for a prediabetic this is extremely helpful.

Another benefit of intermittent fasting is digestion. It gives your digestive systems a break and can do wonders for helping heal/strengthen your gut!

I’ve been doing this for years. I’ve sometimes stopped but then went back to it and when I do intermittent fasting it’s when I feel best! I’ve got more energy, more concentration, I want to exercise, and I don’t feel sluggish and sleepy. Some super models adopt this technique too

I have been practicing IF for 10 years. In the best form I have been. Now in my early 60s. I follow a more Indian form of IF wherein I eat breakfast and lunch but skip dinner. This is more like how our ancestors ate, in sync with the sun. I believe this is vastly better than skipping breakfast. More in tune with nature.

I started intermittent fasting in October of last year and I have lost 30 pounds so far. Started out at 230 pounds and for the first time in almost a decade I weighed under 200 pounds yesterday. I eat dinner at 7 PM and don’t eat again until 11 AM at the earliest. Multiple times a week I will do one meal a day. I’ve drastically cut out sugar and carbs, although not completely. This weight loss has happened with minimal exercise. I’ve just recently decided to go on daily brisk walks for 30 minutes during my fasted state. I know it’s different for everyone, but for me, this was shockingly simple.

Girls, hear me out! I'm 28 and I've been fasting for months. I started with the 16/8, then went for the 18/6, with the 20/4 after 2 months and then with the 23/1. I used to feel great, like I've never felt before BUT I had to STOP intermittent fasting because my cycle completely stopped. I learnt that women should be fasting differently to men. We have a more complicated hormone system. Hair might start falling and fertility issues might come up! PLEASE, pay attention. It is good to fast BUT NOT EVERYDAY, especially during ovulation and pre-mestrual week.

I am 64 years old, male. I have been fasting 20 hours per day for a little over 2 years, with several 44 hour fasts per month. I have lost 65 pounds, stopped blood pressure meds, stopped talking about cholesterol meds due to improved test results. My weight is stable. My feet don’t hurt anymore. I am able to run for exercise again. I have much less inflammation and pain. I am forever in debt to my doctor who has guided me onto this path. It is definitely a lifestyle change for me. Thank you for sharing this.

Love this! I have been doing a 16:8 fast for three weeks now but on Sundays now I’ve added a 24 hour fast 💕. Love to see more information is being given about IF and it’s benefits.

I started delaying breakfast and gradually moved the first meal out until I hit one in the afternoon. Like most in the comments, it has worked wonderfully. There really wasn't any hunger pain either since I did this in 15 minute intervals.

Wow! Love how she really goes in-depth into the topic. She is very clear and realistic about intermittent fasting. And she is right! We don't need to break our bank to look and feel good

She is right. I had been intermittent fasting for a month or two last year and will be starting again but let me tell you, it really helps. I didn't lose much weight but I did feel better mentally and physically. Maybe if I stay consistent enough I will lose weight as well.

Been fasting for 2 months now, I’m just a regular guy with regular work hours, local truck driver, just wanted to post for encouragement. I’ve lost 30 pounds in 2 months with no other changes other than fasting. No exercise no supplement. Anyone can do it 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼and I cheat, I have coffee with cream every morning 😑

My husband and I started IF this month. I’ll never go back, I feel great and the weight is coming off easily. We’ve started at 16:8 and will see how we go. So thankful!
