@Afshan Arsheen not sure what you mean by TSH value. However, what I will tell you that most doctors don’t is this…the thyroid needs Selenium and Iodine. Foods such as Brazil Nuts have Selenium and Japanese seaweed, (Nori, has iodine. Both crucial for the thyroid to function at its peak. Stay away from gluten as this is an irritant to the thyroid. Once you start readjusting your diet and feeding your body what it needs rather than what it wants, you should start experiencing lesser joint pain. Please let me know how you are doing going forward.

Story of my life, I am allergic to everything you said and I have suffered with two autoimmune diseases (hypothyroidism and p.c.o.s.) for years. I also made these health connections to inflammation due to others I know suffering from lupus and hashimoto’s disease. All my experiences have given me this knowledge, but hearing this from a medical professional is nice validation-thank you again for creating this channel. I love cabbage! I crave cabbage a lot, I think this is my body’s way of telling me what I need.

Dr BErg is changing so many lives with his informative videos. You are a blessing. Before your vids my BP was 190/85--had a mini stroke. I had pre-diabetes, obesity (200 pounds/ 5' 2") and hurt all the time. Painmeds were hurting my stomach and I had gastro-issues and an ulcer. I'm off of ALL my meds and feel great. My weight is 150. I started taking tai chi and can MOVE without pain. My BP and glucose are normal. No more pain meds- no more ulcer. Keto-done right and intermittent fasting. My cholesterol is still a little high, but I'm not going back. I've eliminated bad oils and increased salmon. We'll see if the cholesterol drops a bit.

I have 3 herniated discs in my back along with a host of other problems like Spinal Stenosis and Osteoarthritis just to name a few. I lived with daily chronic pain I had to take opiates for just to cope with the pain and was told I probably would have to go on disability. Then I was diagnosed with Type-2 Diabetes and high cholesterol. I followed my GP's advice of a low calorie low fat diet but my problems got worse. I decided to try High-Fat KETO and within a year I dropped all the excess weight I was carrying and I completely reversed my Type-2 Diabetes and high cholesterol. I did all this with no exercise (because of my bad back). Fast forward 5 years I'm still not on any medication and the pain in my back has reduced so much that I no longer need any pain killers. It really got so much better once I got my Vitamin D levels up. They weren't low according to my lab work but they weren't high either. Now I have them at the top of the range and I feel amazing. This advice from Dr. Berg really does work. Take it from me, I was a mess before!

Dr. Eric, I would like to thank you for your amazing videos that helped me personally lost weight of 17.60 lbs. in just 1 and 22 days! I'm in Omad since day 3 of following strictly what you advised, no high carbs, no sugar and processed foods! I'm now sleeping atleast 7-8 hours and doing exercises for my crunch and had a muscle now in my abs! I'm going to ask your kind advise re: OMAD, I do 24, 26 to 29 hours of fasting. I need to know how to eat my berries when I moved my eating time to past 6:00 p.m., meaning night time due to some schedule that doesn't allow me to eat before 6:00 p.m. When I'm in OMAD, can I do snacks of nuts (like pecans, almonds and walnuts) or pork skins when I feel hungry? Can you please do a video how to get rid of TMJ and exercises to put it back to it's right position without using an orthotic in the mouth? Thank you so much and praying for you and your family that God will keep and bless you in all your endeavors. Take care and keep up the good work! You are amazing and exceptional! ❤🙏🥰💕Epiphany

What is your recommendation for somebody who has had their gallbladder removed? Are the bile salts that you talked about something anyone can use? I’ve been diagnosed with fatty liver disease and an enlarged liver. My first steps in helping my liver, and the and the rest of my body, has been to follow what the medical medium is doing. It’s been making a huge difference so far, but I know there’s other things I’m still needing to do. Thank you so much for your videos!

By dietary elimination trial and error, I have found that by far the most significant cause of my chronic inflammation is carbohydrate. That seems to be entirely the whole story, no carbs = no inflammation. Now as a senior, I am the healthiest & most pain free that I've ever been since teens.

I've had chronic pain for 20+ yrs. Are you referring to refined carbs? Bread pasta white rice? I already went vegetarian and it's helped. But the pain isn't gone yet. Need to try something else. I know it's something aggregating me because i only have chronic pain in my back, but this year I've been unable to use my hands from carpal tunnel. It could also be long covid, but I wanted to try changing my diet because going totally strict plant based took ALL THE PAIN AWAY. so I'd like to find out if it was because i cut out carbs before.

@Carl Estridge If you are healthy, I see no reason to change anything. However, if you are still having issues that your Dr can't pin down or help with and know that you don't have ketoacidosis, then trying a keto diet for a while may help. Keto is technically less than 20 g carbohydrate a day, despite what some websites say. Be warned that products labelled "Keto" are generally not actually keto. Buy fresh food only, nothing preserved or manufactured. You can't trust processed food labels, especially a "keto" label. You will have to give up all sugar entirely to achieve true ketosis. Inflammation may show up with spurious symptoms. Pain & nerves (joints, nerves, sciatica, restless legs, cramps) Obesity, Diabetes, dementia, IBS, Bloating, Lupus, CFS, Parkinson's and others are suspected to have an inflammatory component. Some sufferers have reported improvements on keto, in some cases, patients are reported to claim the condition disappeared entirely. I am in no position to validate such claims, I just don't know for sure. All I can say is I though I would die 5-6 years ago, but now I am more healthy than I have been in decades..

@CELESTINE , I've found through elimination that certain veggies really affect me, as does wheat (numbs up my right thigh, boats me like crazy). Bananas are also a huge no no since they make my mouth itch as does honey. Weird how certain foods can really make you feel horrible. Keto makes me feel wonderful and has taken away all my aches and pains, but I fully understand it is not good for everyone.

Dr. Berg, thank you so much for your kindness. All these videos are priceless. Thank you for your time. My neighbor just found out she has breast cancer, she was told it is the kind that feeds on hormone. She is going to have her breasts removed and they will put her on a hormone blocker. She is only 38 years old. As you said vitamin D is also a hormone, then she shouldn't be taking vitamin D. Would that be food for the kind of cancer she has? I always heard that vitamin D is great against cancer, now I am confused. Many blessings to you.

Since I’ve gone keto with intermittent.. a lot of inflammatory conditions I had went away after around 2 or 3 months.. One of them was my shoulder. It would always hurt really bad but one day the pain just went away as if my shoulder was never bad at all. It blew my mind.. another condition that healed itself was a bad tooth in the back of my mouth.. it’s still loose but it doesn’t hurt anymore.. I can actually eat on that side of my mouth now without even noticing it. I’ve heard of people even healing where they are able to start walking without a cane as crazy as that sounds. It’s quite remarkable.

Great video. Thank you. I have two questions: 1. What is considered a healthy/safe level of Vitamin D in your blood? My endocrinologist doesn't want my Vit D Level go above 60ish.; 2) for the last year and half I've eliminated gluten and refined sugar, processed foods, etc. but I've developed arthritis in a couple of my finger knuckles. I'm surprised because I've done things to reduce inflammation and it's rearing it's ugly head. Why would this happen? Thank you

Have had a breathing problem in my nose due to inflammation, so will be seeing an ENT in the coming weeks, but in the meantime, my allergist gave me a 10 day prescription of Prednisone - and I had never taken it before. But wow that stuff works great. In fact, a "bonus" was all of my aches and pains (mainly my lower back) had ceased while taking that medication. But I also know too much of that chemical can't be good for me in the long term. Glad I just learned about extra Vitamin D, so will give that a whirl

Dr. Berg, truly appreciative of your efforts to educate us. Q about D: The dosage you mention, up to 40k iu, is that per day or per week? Should that be for weeks or for months? What is the best way to monitor the progress?

That would be per day. I ordered his D2/K2 supplement and it has 10,000 iu of vitamin D per capsule. And you can take up to 4 per day (4 = 40,000 iu).

Because of a highly inflammatory, high carb diet for most of my life, I have lost my gallbladder, had to have a hysterectomy which meant no hope of having children, and decades of constant all over pain. The anger I feel toward the doctors who didn’t know or never told me I could fix my suffering by a simple change in diet is almost overwhelming. Only one doctor ever told me to even eat a gluten free diet but still gave no real advice about how to do that. I’m so grateful for Dr. Berg and Dr. Berry and the other doctors who share their knowledge and philosophy.

Hey Eric, First of all, Thanks a lot for deep diving in such topics and making it available for all of us so easily. I've been following your channel for 6 months, following keto diet and other inflammatory, vitamin & minerals and food habbit related videos. And must says it's really working well for me. Just wanted to see some videos about body Glands, specially for adrenal & pituitary gland/ hormones. Googling on how keep glands healthy, it pops, eating something within an hour, just after waking up, is good for adrenal glands. And based on intermittent fasting (16-8), i couldn't do it. Could you please suggest. Lots of love and respect from India. 🇮🇳 ❤️

Thanks for sharing that Humira is the top selling drug. It used to be Synthroid, for hypothyroidism. Ironic that everyone was getting it prescribed with incorrectly using ONLY a TSH blood test! I’m going to dive deep into researching Humira! It’s always made no sense to me how MD’s only treated symptoms or surgically treated medical issues instead of looking for and treating the cause! It’s led me to a more rewarding career as a Nutritional Therapist!

Thank you so much, Dr. Berg for such a helpful information!! Unfortunately I didn’t have that knowledge in 1995( when I let them remove my gallbladder 😢). Since then I’m on super enzymes. Tried to skip that for a few years and paying now with some pain under my left ribs. Seems that was to much work for my pancreas to be without supplements… Now I’m taking super enzymes again. My question is, can I take your Gallbladder formula instead? And do I need to take in addition the other supplement) if I’m not mistaken tut cup)? And what is it? And btw I think it’s one of the reasons that I have Hashimoto now..( based on one of your previous videos). Thank you in advance!:)

Your video showed up at the right time for me again! Here in Canada we don't get this excellent information unless a naturalpath is seen. I am wondering what your take is on Gastric Bypass surgery especial when the pancrease, gall bladder is bypassed. One of the main concerns is the way good fats are excluded. Any opinion is gratefully appreciated.

Aww thank you so much Dr Berg. I really appreciate all the wonderful information and tips that you give us every time. I had just started on Keto and recently learned that I am allergic to casein, common ragweed, egg york, Timothy grass, carrots and potatoes. I also have inflammation and now it's kind of difficult to maintain the keto diet as I can't eat, milk and dairy products like yoghurt, many cheeses, also I can't eat egg york, any advice on substitutes. I am so glad I "don't have to live with my allergies for life" I will continue with intermittent fasting and eating low carb as much as possible. God bless you Dr Berg for your invaluable information 🙏

What is egg york? Keto is easy cutting out dairy. It is. I don't eat dairy because of the inflammation it causes and high oestrogen levels. Most milk has lots of sugar - lactose which isn't keto friendly. Btw there is no God. It is Harry Potter fantasy, only worse.
