The dog with the coyote wasn’t trying to save anyone but it’s self. The girl let go of the dog which left them completely alone to fight against it. That’s just the way I see things

I walked our St Bernard at that age by myself. With proper guidance, it’s not a bad thing. He even scared off some teenage guys who were bothering me once. They weren’t getting any closer to me when a 165lb beast was snarling at them 😂

If she picked up the dog then ran with it to her house then maybe the dog or her wouldn’t be injured as bad and if she took of the leash and maybe tried using it in case if the coyote gets near and she can hit it with it maybe

My husband had a lab when we met. Initially, she would only listen to him but over time she became attached to me, as I was the one who fed her most often. To anyone who has had a lab, you know what this means. One day we were play fighting and he said “Get her” playfully. She ran between us, FACED HIM, and protected me. If we were walking and someone gave me the willies, it would be the only time her hackles went up. Dogs are hardwired to protect the pack and once they adopt you, from the biggest mastiff to the tiniest teacup, heaven help anyone who interferes with the food delivery system.

@Lulu Moon yes they care. I cried when I saw my dolly's cut leg. She came over and put her nose on my face while I was crying. What a nice horsey. I call her Sally. I ask her Is there anything cuter than a redheaded girl? And she shakes her head and pins her ears back like she's saying NO! I love her.

One of the horses I used to ride at my old barn was hated by just about everyone but me. To be fair, he was smarter then most of the ppl there and was a complete asshole with many many dangerous habits. Well, one day he was lame so I had to ride a different horse who was completely green (the complete opposite of what I had been told by the stable). She spooked at who knows what and when I went to throw myself clear because I was coming off no matter what and was dangerously close to slipping under the horse I hadn't realized that my foot was caught in the stirrup. I remember making a conscious decision to bail, I remember being on the ground and someone telling me not to move. The next memory I have is holding the saddle and not knowing if I was supposed to be tacking up or untacking. It made perfect sense at the time to go in and check the clock to find out. But my boy wouldn't let me leave, kept reaching across to grab me. And wouldn't let me take my helmet off either which was odd behavior for him. I remember setting the saddle down and opening the stall door to see if I couldn't figure out why he was making such a nuisance of himself this time. He was a biter but only if you were picking his feet, he'd undo the quick release and nip butts. He wasn't the kind to snap at passer-by. I have no memory between then and when I woke up in ER. Apparently I hadn't just cracked my skull or concussed myself(which is what I had assumed was a nasty concussion) I had completely shattered it and the only thing keeping me alive was the helmet acting in the capacity that my skull should have been. Apparently nobody bothered to get me checked out medically when I ended up under the horses hooves beyond a basic answer these questions and is everything where it should be. I apparently finished the lesson and wasn't acting out of the norm. But had I waited until my aunt picked me up to drive home and taken my helmet off I would have been dead. I might have been dead before then if not for some very attentive paramedics and my horse. All it would have taken is one bad shift of the pieces of skull to penetrate something important. I'm lucky I survived long enough to untack. Needless to say, I left the barn and when they tried to sell him since nobody left would come near him and you can't have a school horse nobody rides I bought him as he definitely would have ended up in a slaughter house otherwise. He was an old man by then not that he would let anyone know that with the way he acted and we had a few years before he died of old age at almost 27. He never did stop being an ass though. I swear he aimed for blackberry bushes and more then one pair of jods have teeth marks in them.

I have a picture of my grandfather and a German Shepherd he had with him in World War 2 and that dog is the reason for every member of every generation that came after my grandpa. Story is something happened to the truck he was driving and it turned over then caught on fire. My grandfather was knocked unconscious and would have died but the Shepherd was able to drag him clear. He spent some time in a British hospital and had bad headaches most of his life because of it. Had it not been for the German Shepherd, my mom, aunt, uncle, cousins, brother and his two kids, my cousin's kids, we would have never been. Gives me chills every time I get to tell that story.

Bud, a talking grey African parrot, helped solve his owner’s murderer, Marty Duram. After his ex-wife received the animal, she noticed Bud recited the accounts of the night Marty died. She filmed it and took it to the authority, who quickly pieced together the crime scene. It was Marty’s new wife, Glenna, who had shot her husband and then turned the gun on herself in a failed suicide attempt. Bud witnessed the incident and recounted their verbal exchange before the shooting happened.

I had a somewhat intense situation once where I came across a toddler outdoors unsupervised (along a main road). As I was trying to communicate with her and figure out the situation, I noticed she had a medium-large sized dog right around the corner that was clearly staring me down. Thankfully, the girl's mother came FLYING out of her house in a panic and recovered the child. So I didn't need to try to approach the girl and get all bit up by the well-meaning dog lol

…LOL. This is how I met one of my closest friends; via runaway yowens. She still groans about that. It was one of those, I swear I’m not a bad mother, moment. And she’s not. Her three week old had open-heart surgery recently and she had fallen asleep holding him for all of about five minutes. The four and five-year-old decided that was a wonderful time to visit the new neighbor… She came flying out of the house and right past my house. I hollered at her and calmed her down and that was nine years ago. The baby who had heart surgery is now a very active very healthy little boy.

One thing I really like about this video, is that it show that a cat can be as much of a protector as a dog. It mentioned the dog who was trained to sense a low sugar attack in the kid, but I have another amazing story. I am a diabetic on a high concentration of insulin. My main problem is that usually when I do go low sugar, it is in the middle of the night when I am asleep. One of my cats will literally wake me up from my sleep (usually by licking the same spot on my forehead until it is red and hurting or by licking my eyelid) and not allow me to fall back asleep. After my mind realizes what is going on, and I take care of my sugar problem, she will let me fall back asleep. This has been a life savor, as a few of the time my sugar has been 35 and below. My diabetic doctor is amazed I am conscious, yet alone alert enough, to take my sugar and sugar tablets in these instances. Most people have a hard time functioning when their sugar gets below 50 - 55 and below 40 most people are unconscious. In fact, when my sugar is in the low 30s and mid/high 20s, I have been told I should be dead. Yet, somehow I survive and I am able to bring my sugar up, all thanks to being woken up by my cat. TO ME THE MOST AMAZING THING IS THAT SHE WAS NEVER TRAINED OR TAUGHT TO DO THIS, it is just her instinct. In fact when I mentioned this to my diabetic doctor, she said that it was the first time she has heard of a cat doing something like this and that I should never get rid of the cat.

Hey! Glad you’re doing alright and have pets that appreciate and love you. I’m a type 1 too, when you get below 30 those are scary scary times - I need a new pump but I’m thinking about getting a cat first that can moderate my sugar. Good luck with everything and keep that A1C healthy 👍🏼

I have epilepsy myself, and I had a seizure on the side of the road. Thankfully there was a car passing by that saw me go down and called the paramedics for me while in the middle of my episode. I wish whomever it was stayed until I became fully conscious and aware, so I could thank them. I had gotten a decent lump from striking my head on a rather large rock on the side of the road and had a concussion from it. It's real shit to see someone pass by like that when I've been in that position myself.

I had a grand mal seizure when I was 12 while swimming at a lake with family. I had drifted too far out when it started and I began to drown. Thank god my uncles two German Shepards were there because within 30 seconds they were in the water charging for me and managed to pull me up and out of the water father enough that I could breathe and alerted my family allowing them to help pull me to safety. One of them, Helios recently passed and my heart still aches because I became very attached to them and the other Harmony is on her way out and I know I’ll be even more devastated then. They truly saved my life.

My aunt and uncles dog has been trained as a police dog, but didn't 'graduate' (he was deemed too friendly) and was 'retired'. I lived with them for a year when I was a young teen, and was home alone one day after school. I was doing homework upstairs and I saw the dog suddenly get up (he was next to me) and rush downstairs. And then heard the front door open and my uncles voice. My uncle told me what happened on his end. He'd come home earlier than normal, and as he opened the door, he heard the dog growl, but the moment the dog realized who it was, he stopped growling and his tail wagged. My uncle was so surprised; this dog was the sweetest dog ever, and hardly even barked loudly, even though he was a German Shepherd. This dog believed an intruder was entering the house, and was ready to protecc his humans. He was the best boy

These videos of the cats really showcases how they look out for their humans more than we realize. When I was pregnant, my cat would bring me human food. A bologna sandwich from a kid at the bus stop. Steak from somebody's house still in the butcher paper and frozen. Yea, I ate that. 😁 I think he thought the kid was his. Turns out he was a better provider than the dad was. 💞

@infinite death "Forces beyond our control can take away everything you possess except one thing, your freedom to choose how you will respond to the situation" - Viktor Frankl You are right that life is not fair to all and our situations are always different. Yet, we can always control our actions. Women need not be mind readers. They simply need to pay attention. As do men with red flag women. It is not that women (and men) do not see the red flags, it is that they far too often choose to ignore them. It is easier to say, "I was duped!" than to say "I was a fool".
infinite death

@Buster Chops People are in charge of their lives, but not of the circumstances life puts them in. An uneducated kid who lives in the poor areas of Africa, for example, will never be able to rise to upper middle class, much less become a millionaire. A paraplegic won't be able to go mountain climbing. Some things are just impossible, and some bad men can hide the red flags very well. Women aren't mind readers, and some bad men won't reveal their true selves until it's too late. Some women might not see red flags, but sometimes there are no red flags to see.

Dogs have been helping us humans for many thousands of years making them our closest companions compared to any other species on the planet, and to see them continue to help us in so many different ways can bring a tear to one's eye, specially in those situations when they give their life to save ours.

I ran a large warehouse and was approached by a police officer from the K-9 unit. He asked if they could use the warehouse after hours to train 12 new dogs on our slippery surface. Of course my answer was "Yes, as long as I can be here and see it!" It was really enlightening. They had a person dress in protective dog attack gear go hide while each dog one by one went and got him. The poor guy was attacked at least 50 times that night. It was cut short when one dog bound over some boxes to pull this guy off a shelf 10 feet high. The poor guy broke his wrist. 4 of the dogs just couldn't handle the slippery floors and had to have more training. The rest moved on to the next level of training which I never saw. It is one of my coolest memories.

Walking in the yard with my cat when I was about five. All of a sudden, this animal who had never shown me aggression turned around and started hissing and spitting and yowling at me. When I took a step closer she swatted at my legs. I’m five and this is my best friend so I start crying, which gets my dad’s attention. My dad saw what I couldn’t see because i was a shorty… A 4 foot long rattlesnake about 7 feet in front of me, with my cat in between me and the snake. As young children’s our cats used to kill snakes in the yard, deadly snakes, taipans, king browns… u name it (I’m in far north Australia so we have majority of the deadliest snakes here) they would risk their own life to keep us safe, even fighting off neighbourhood dogs. Would even follow us at night walking 30m behind us… I swear it was to make sure we were safe. Rip tiddles and tomessa u gave us a great childhood, safe from snakes ;)

I had a dog named Samer(Summer) when I was a toddler. We went for a walk with her and my mom one day. I was on this three-wheeled bike. We were on a sidewalk right next to a small forest. Suddenly, a big dog ran out of that same forest. My mom didn't see him at first, but Samer immediately ran towards him and scared him away. The thing is, that dog was around 2 times bigger than her She would also jump into my bed when I was sleeping and wouldn't let anyone other than my parents close to me. I would do this thing where I "played dead" and just lie down on the floor. She would lick my hand and face and lie on top of me, or close to me until I got up every time, even when she was over 15 years old. I really miss her. She died not too long ago because she was sick and quite old. She was a year older than me, so she was with me my whole childhood.

I felt really sick watching that little yorkshire fight with a coyote...i have a york/pom mix myself, a rescue. I could never leave my dog like that, ever. I already had a bad encounter with a wild animal and my first thought was to pick her up and not let her down until we were safe (it's not an attack towards the young girl, mind you. Fear is something you can't control).

I taught my little dog to be still while I nestled him into a tree branch, had 3 dogs come after him once (not incredibly large but enough to tear him apart), so up he went and out came my boot. Fixed that real quick, he knew I was the grizzly bear of the family, he just had to bark to let me know which direction the danger was at. So that girl...would've gotten some exceedingly choice words from me along with her parents.🤬

Back in the '80's, when my wife and I were on vacation out west, Lake Mead, we were relaxing at out camp site. I was inside the tent and the wife was sitting near the campfire when our Dalmatian got up and walked to the border of our site and stood there. After a few minutes a guy came out of the bushes and tried to approach. He didn't get far as Matia stood her ground and 'smiled' at him. Later a Ranger came by and said that he complained that she had tried to attack him. When the Ranger approached, she went to check him out and licked his hand. Turns out the guy was very drunk and the subject of numerous complaints of harassment, theft and physical abuse. He went to jail and Matia got a hamburger. Once when my wife was home and I was at work, she had taken our other Dalmatian, Zelda, with her on her daily walk. She had just gotten back to our house, still in the front yard when a guy approached her and asked directions and wanted to use the phone. Zelda was on a leash and she didn't like the guy at all. She tried to bite him even though he was just standing there talking. This made my wife suspicious and she told the guy our phone was out of order and that he should leave as she didn't know if she could control Zelda. 2 days later, this guy's picture was in the paper after being arrested for rape and murder. To this day, if my dogs have issues with someone, I avoid them like the plague. I miss my Dalmatians very much. Also, Dalmatians (blue-eyed) can be prone to deafness. When Zelda would have a pup that was deaf, I would teach them hand sign and give them to families with deaf children. It's amazing the effect they have on their humans that are also deaf. Many years later, I got a Pit Bull puppy. I was taking care of my mother in her late years (90) and Cinnamon got very attached to her. She would sleep at her feet and mom loved to play tug of war with her. I was completely surprised that this dog , who loved to rough-house, not to mention had looks that could induce the fear of god, was so absolutely gentle with my mother. A crank-head showed up on mom's doorstep one night naked and tried to come in the house. That was a mistake. Cinnamon hit the storm door so hard it knocked the guy down and he fled. He doesn't know how lucky he is that mom called her off. Now, at age 70 and now a widower, I have 2 (120+ pound) German Shepherds (brother and sister) and they never let me out of their sight...even if I am going to the bathroom. They will be my last dogs though, as I have this fear of dying before them and not knowing what their fate would be.

Had a Bassett Hound, was not yet fully diagnosed yet with seizures, narcolepsy & PTSD, my dog acted weird when I was leaving, so I took her with (little legs long walk) we were walking in my neighborhood when I collapsed. She sat with me not allowing anyone close till I woke up. When it happened in my home she was right by my side when I woke up. She actually acted strange when I was about to leave sometimes. That’s when my doctor said some animals can detect symptoms. I miss her every day, but she’s always watching me.

@Arson Darksea Every day is a gift, so wake up smiling, deep breath’s, positive vibes. I have this thing that if I can make at least 5 people laugh every day I’ve brought joy into the world for someone else. (And that makes me happy) I know every day is a struggle in lots of ways but we will get through it. Live for now so you don’t have to say I should have, could have, would have. Take time to think things through before making big decisions. Don’t dwell on the past (it’s gone), and tomorrow isn’t a guarantee so be your best every day. Have a great day!

I've had my chiweenie since I was 13 (I'm almost 26 now), and she's the first dog I've ever had. When I was around 22-23, I found out I had autism, because the abuse from my uncle gave me an autistic burnout, which basically means I slit down the autism spectrum, experiencing symptoms I never had before. The worst thing was having random meltdowns, which were extremely painful and traumatic. My dog, Catenne (pronounced "Sat-een"), without any training or experience, instantly became my emotional support weenie, and sometimes would even alert me before my meltdowns would start, so I could take my medicine in time. She will be so concerned, and get me to calm down. I love her so much. I got her from the SPCA. She was a year old, abused, neglected, with heartworms, and had a litter of puppies before I got her. I'm so grateful to Jesus Christ for blessing me with her, while I was still a sinner. She's been my most constant friend. Through a good ten moves together, across the country. A few months ago, she was dying, but Jesus Christ heard my cries, and brought her back to life miraculously. I pray she'll be with me until the rapture🕊

When my mom was young (in the 60's) my grandparents had a small hunting dog named Dolly and a not so feral cat named Prosper, one time Dolly got attacked in the garden by a German shepherd on loose from the neighbourhood and she got her kidney punctured when the dog catched her by the back and shaked her like a rag doll, she died two days later. My grandparents were devastated but Prosper took his revenge and just few days after the incident when he was cornered by the same dog on a pile of bricks in our garden, he jumped on the dog face and didn't let it go a bit, the dog lost his eyes that day. The owner came at my grandparents and complained but my grandpa just told him to f*ck off especially when you're dog just killed another dog on a private and enclosed property (in France houses have walls or fences to avoid any trespassing or confusion with the neighbours properties). lesson learned, don't piss off a dog and Karma is a b*tch.

Advice for the young girl...or any young folks that get scared of Coyotes. Don't leave your dog on the leash and run away. Coyotes are scared of you, not scared of your dog. Stand your ground and make a lot of noise and the coyote will not attack. You are essentially allowing them to eat your dog if you drop the leash and run away.

I’m epileptic. I used to watch my landlord’s sweet but unruly dogs when she’d go out of town. One night I had a really bad aura, probably the worst I’ve ever had, and one of her dogs ran over to me from across the house whimpering. This dog only knew sit and stay, had no training beyond that, and had never been around someone having a seizure before. He stayed by my side for the rest of that trip, and any subsequent ones. I’ll never understand how he knew what was happening considering how much training dogs need to detect auras.

@Outlaw7263 Except they didn't. 'It is believed that Vikings-along with other mariners-took cats on ships in order to control rats and mice' Just like the medieval europeans, just like literally any other seafaring people, or people at all for that matter. You think a cat will stay for long after hearing the clanging and screaming of hundreds of men before a battle? 'some believed having a cat rest in their longship was good luck.' Quite literally no evidence of this at all.

My family had a great dog. Poodle terrier mix, tuxedo markings. Best dog ever. One of my sisters friends asked to borrow him for some reason. She was practically a part of the family. She was walking with the dog, and suddenly he planted his feet. He would not go into the road, and he would not let her either. Moments later, a car went speeding past. If he hadn't refused to cross the road, they both could have been road kill.

When I was 18 driving to college I had a dog run out onto the shoulder of the highway in front of me. I thought I was going to hit it. And then I saw the toddler behind him. Scared me to death. I was on a 2 lane 55mph blacktop highway. I pulled over and went over to the little boy who was about a half block from the nearest home out in the middle of nowhere country. The dog was sure happy I stopped. I think he was already tired of being a babysitter, lol. I did not have to tell him twice to get into the car! This was 1976. I got the dog and the boy in the car and drove back to the house. Grandma hadn’t even noticed he had wandered off. She was in shock and shaking when I told her what happened and that the little dog deserved a steak! I think about that little boy and dog still after all these years.

I was rear-ended in my Jeep a while back. I had my extra large German Wirehair (120 lbs) in the car with me. The other driver left the scene so I was stuck on the side of the road waiting for the police and tow truck. A man pulled up in a van and got out. At first I thought he was there to help. He was not. He grabbed my arm and tried to pull me into his van. My hero dog stepped from behind me and advanced on the man, rumbling his most intimidating growl. The man let go and took off hastily. My dog stood there rumbling till he was out of sight. I miss that dog. He was so smart and protective.

The cat I had at the time watched over me when I first started having grand Mal seizures. I would come to and he was behind me when I was on my side. When I moved to my back he jumped on my chest and licked my face until I was partially recovered he showed the paramedics where I was. I wish I still had him. As a joke I showed him the cat the numbers 911 on my large key land line phone just as a joke. I went into a terrible grand Mal and when I came to partially I saw him next to the phone receiver and he was batting it to me and heard someone talking, thinking I accidentally knocked the receiver off the base hung up. But went unconscious immediately after but when I came to again he was batting the receiver towards me again and I heard a voice talking and it was 911 they said they heard meowing that sounded like help my mommy. But they weren't sure. I could talk by this time. I told the operator I had just had a grand mal seizure and it was just my cat and I. I was able to unlock the front door for the paramedics. The cat showed them where I was. I really miss him so much.

That coyote with the radio collar on. XD "Oh, humans are cool? I'm gonna use that to eat one of their dogs now." Good for the terrier for sticking to his roots. Dogs are naturally suspicious of wildlife, and they should be. They're way more spatially aware of their environments than we give them credit for, because they're also farsighted. Really needs seeing how some of these dogs think and what they know.

In the 90's I worked in a small bistro owned by the owners of a restaurant next door. We had a small company party at a discotheque nearby. When I wanted to go home at 2 a.m., my boss told his cook to drive me the 3 kilometers home. Once there, right in front of my mother's bedroom window, the chef tried to touch me. When I tried to avoid him he got rough, tried to force a kiss and then tried to roll onto me. He held my arms tight. I was frozen and in panic because i realized i couldn't reach the door opener. Suddenly there was a tinny bang in front of us and the cook let go of me and cried out briefly. I immediately grabbed the door opener and let myself fell out of the car. But before that I heard wild and super loud hissing and saw my cat Jovi, who stared menacingly trough the windshield, with a hump, directly into the man's eyes, with yellow blazing eyes (reflection from the little light). I never ever had seen her do this bevore. The moment I fell out of the car, she jumped off the hood and to my side. We ran like crazy to the front door. I was so nervous that I was afraid I wouldn't get the key in the lock and Jovi tiptoed from one leg to the other between my feet. Then we were inside and I pushed the slowly closing door shut with all my might. Jovi never ran ahead...she always stayed right with me. If I stood, she stood. When I ran, she ran right next to me. She knew EXACTLY what had happened. We were like bonny and clyde or something. We were both under high volture. Jovi would often pick me up from my own car when I got home from work. When I was gone, she always slept with my mother and then jumped out of her always-open window. If I had a boyfriend who would take me home several times, she knew after the first time that that car noise meant I was coming. She never attacked anyone or got too close to the cars. And of course, she didn't jump on the hood. I arrived at our apartment and my mother had just woken up. Completely breathless and full of adrenaline, I said, "Jovi just saved me! The chef from the pizzeria. I think he hurted me." (he caused me some bruises) My mother reacted a bit confused but then said completely dry, as if it were the most normal thing in the world: "Of course she protects you." Like if i was out of my mind, to doubt that. And yes, my cat and I had a very deep bond. After that she got a last name from me. Jovi Supercat. Addendum: A few years later I saved her when she was lying in the sun and I was walking to the car. She looked normal. A neighbor just passed her, greeted her and didn't notice anything. I greeted her as I always did when we met outside and continued to the car. I started and drove 3-4 meters and then abruptly stopped. Something is wrong. I got out, went to her and asked "Jovi?". She turned her head towards me and mewed...but barely moved. Then I knew something wasn't right. I drove her to the vet. Lungs about 90% full of blood, badly broken sternum. Probably accident with two wheeler. After the operation and 3 days later he told me to take her home. He can do nothing more. I should please call if something changes, because his assistant, who also stayed with Jovi at night, was very much in love with my cat.^^ If she gets well, then at home, said the doctor. And so it was. I gave her water with my slightly longer fingernail (yes, she was so weak that she could not lift her head). Sometimes I lay next to her, then I gave her some alone time. She recovered quickly. After three days we went to the doctor again. When he opened her box he was stunned and said: "To be honest I lied to you. I felt so sorry for you. I didn't saw any chance of survival for Jovi. I'm completely amazed that she is doing so well. And what's more, she looks fit again after three days.Unbelievable." The doctor's assistant cried with joy.^^ True story. Please, if you like, remember my little Jovi once or twice. She was wonderful. Everyone should have met her and knwo her.
wish you would.

He ran straight to our son's bedroom and jumped on his bed. I called Scooter but he wouldn't leave my son's bed. It turned out that my son had a fever of 41 degrees Celsius / 105.8 F but was still asleep. We managed to drop the fever but we would never have responded in time if Scooter hadn't woken us.

@Almighty Rocket It was the highest I had ever seen too. I used to be a firefighter/EMT so while I was working to get the fever down, my wife was in contact with the emergency responder with the ambulance service just in case. It was a long night since we needed to watch him so closely after we got the fever under control. He slept through most of the night so we have no idea what caused it since most times it would be an ear infection or virus that would have the kid feeling poorly and unable to sleep.

I've heard of a similar story, where a family had recently adopted a dog, and one night he hopped up on the bed and started crying, whining, & shaking, and that got the owner's attention, so they started checking out the house and when they got to their infant daughter's room, they found that she had outright stopped breathing. They immediately called 911, and thanks to the dog alerting them, their little girl survived. *Never* underestimate pets. They're far smarter than people give them credit for. There have been plenty of cases where an animal has saved a person's life. Another story I remember involved a woman who had been out hiking with her dog when she slipped off of a ledge and wound up on a small rock outcropping on a cliff with a broken leg and only her dog there with her. The dog immediately realized she needed help, so she ran off to the nearest road and kept making noise to draw attention, and then when someone finally stopped, the dog led them right back to the trapped woman. And as a result, that person was able to call 911 so that the woman could be airlifted (with her furry savior) to the nearest hospital for treatment.

My "best-ever/favorite-horse-forever" would swing his rear end to keep 'it' between me and any man who tried to walk over to us.....even if we were just chatting on the trail. No one got close when he was around, [or 'under' me]. I once let a former boyfriend (not very experienced) ride him, and I took my new (unfamiliar) found / boarder horse on the trail. All was fine .... until the 'friend' got nasty and 'grouchy' to me, telling me to just gallop down the other trail. To 'shut him up' = I did. Then I heard "umph, agh, thump, bump!' and MY horse was right beside me... and he was back a ways on the ground. THE END = =] ! My sweet natured shepherd would always lie beside me, and was known as a really nice dog. Once a plumber went to hand me a bill and I had to catch the shepherd as he immediately lept up from the floor snarling and almost reached the guys arm. He did the same when we were walking together and someone went to hand me a package ! How I miss my favorites !!! My Bible promises that we'll be riding horses after we leave this world I am praying it's my old favorite ! ={

When I was pregnant I was enjoying some fresh air outside. I brought my fur baby cat along with because he insisted. A dog walks by on the sidewalk we know and came up so I could pet him. Let’s just say Jaxxi was not having that. He went after the dog and scared it away. He was a black lab 😂

It's not the size of the dog in the fight, but rather the size of the fight in the dog! That little Yorkie seeing off the coyote was valiant beyond imagining. These were lovely reminders of the sentience of animals in our lives. Thank you.

That Yorkie didn't fight off that coyote....that Yorkie simply got very very lucky that the coyote was to nervous and distracted with being surrounded by all them houses... I think that leash helped...that Yorkie kept kneeling super low to the ground which was good bc the yote couldn't get a good grip but it definitely didn't defend anything or fight off anything lol It got super lucky!

The cat that grabbed her humans hand to try to get her out of the bathtub is what got me the most. People think that cats don't protect their owners, they do!!🤩🥰😍

Believe it or not my cat's the same way. Whenever I'm sick or very ill she will stand next to me on my bed all night rather than lay down and stare at me making sure I'm okay. She only does this type of behavior when I'm feeling very ill. It's amazing how smart pets are and we also have German Shepherds which are very intelligent.

I only ever, very briefly, didn't have at least one dog in my household. The brief time I didn't was due to being required to live in the barracks when I first joined the navy. Outside of that I've ALWAYS had at least one dog; usually multiple dogs, cats, snakes, fish and reptiles. Dogs, especially, are the only living creatures on the planet that regularly give legitimate unconditional love.
