First of all, if you ever get a chance to see one that is not caught in a trap and suffering, they are a beautiful animal. I do not recommend leaving pet cats and dogs, especially small dogs outdoors at night. Coyotes, are nocturnal and hunt at night. They will kill and eat any small animal. Always keep pets safe! As far as this video goes, yes this sucks. There is a better way to do it. A blanket or jacket over the head is a good idea. Unfortunately, by the time he gets done twiddle dinking around, he might as well do the most humane thing and shoot it. That paw and leg is already quite injured. They have a pecking order and the animal will fall victim to that.

Don't grab animals by their tails... it's their spine and fragile....
